What I have been up to

Hi everyone.  I know I have been MIA for 2 weeks now but I wanted to share with you why.  We have started our closing in of our attached carport.  This will be my oldest daughter Destiny's bedroom until she moves out.  This room will be 12 x 20. One day it will be my craft room, but for now it will be her bedroom.
Bailey and Jazmine will finally have their own rooms.
This is what my carport room construction looked like on Sunday.

Here are the closet doors that I put a coat of primer on and a coat of white Satin paint on that I sprayed with an HVLP sprayer.

Here is where my husband cut the black top drive way out and away from the concrete of the floor of the carport.  We still have to scoop up all that rock so I can add dirt, plants and mulch and some decorative stone to go up against the black top.  After all the construction is done we will reseal the driveway.

Here is what the room looked like on Monday night.

And here is what it looked like last this afternoon.
The big opening on the left is where my French Doors are going.  I still have to paint them a dark Royal Hunter Green after they are installed to match the rest of the doors and shutters on the house.

The opening in the front is where my big 60x60 side slider window is going.

The smaller opening is where my 36 x 54 window is going.  I am so excited that the room is going to have so much light in it and that our views are still going to be there.

The little girl in the pink standing up in the window opening is my youngest daughter Jazmine.
This is the front of the house/ the new addition.

We are hoping to be able to start the electrical wiring this weekend and hopefully get it done so we can have it inspected and start drywalling the room.  The windows and the French doors will go in, in the next couple of days.  It is actually coming along a lot faster than I thought it would.  My husbands friend is helping him, well his friend Bobby is doing most of the work as there is noway we could have done this on our own.  Of course we are paying him for all his work as this wasn't an easy job.  With it being a carport nothing was even as the concrete floor gets lower from the back bricks to the end of the concrete by the black top drive way, about  a total of a 3 to 4 inch slope.
Well I just wanted to share with you why I have been taking a break here lately and I wanted to share with you the progress we have made.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week.

Hugs:)
Angela
