The Deconstructed Sketch DS18

This is my second post today

It's time for a new sketch over at The Deconstructed Sketch.  This week we don't have any sponsor's so we the DT girls are free to create whatever we want as long ad we use the sketch for this week DS17.

For my card I used this OH so Sweet Digi image from Whimsy Stamps called "Touched By Love" and you can get her HERE.
I printed her out on Kraft CS and colored her with Prismacolor Pencils ONLY, no copics and no OMS.  I just used my pencils to blend my colors together. The key to coloring on Kraft CS is to lay down a white or cream color first then build up your colors going a little darker with each color.  Starting very light makes the colors really come life on the Kraft CS.  If you try to go darker first you won't get the same effect.

Here is our awesome sketch this week by our wonderful leader Jen Shults.

I LOVE this image and I think I may use it a lot for my Christmas cards this year.

This is a HUGE card 7x7 as the image was printed big, so I needed a bigger card to showcase her.

Go HERE to see what the rest of the Deconstructed Girls created this week.

This is stunning! Thanks so much for your tips on coloring on kraft paper...I must give it a try. Still can't believe you did it without OMS. Is there any medium that you haven't perfected? What an enabler...I'm on my way to check out this gorgeous image. Thanks!
