Look no Copics.. I colored with Prisma pencils

Hi to you all.  I have finally got all the kids stuff ready for school tomorrow.  Well.tonight I wanted to share with you something different that you have never seen from me.  I colored with my Prismacolor Pencils, can you believe it.. NO COPICS.  I was having so much fun coloring that I just kept coloring images.  And believe it or not I didn't even touch my Copics at all, all weekend.

For my card I used and image by Penny Johnson called "Snuggles"

Hopefully you can click on the pic to enlarge to see more detail.

And here is more of what I colored, but I have not made cards with them yet. I haven't felt good this weekend so I climbed up in bed and just colored away, until I got tired.
This image is a Wags n' Whiskers stamp called "Ride, em Ryan" available HERE. All of my images were stamped and colored on cheap Kraft paper from Michael's Craft Store.

I only used pencils, not OMS or blender pencil.  I used my pencils to blend the dark and lighter colors.
This next stamp is another Wag's n' Whiskers stamp called "Angel Whispers".  I have had both of these stamps from Wag's n' Whiskers for way over a year and I just stamped them this weekend.  And believe me I have more that I have never stamped and digi's that I have never printed.  It's called Gotta Have it All... he,he.

Okay one more.. this one is one of the newest images available from "The Greeting Farm", called Babette, from there new Blush collection.

Well I told you it was something different.  I hope you like them.  If you have never checked out Annika's blog aka Another Messy Crafter coloring on kraft card stock with Prisma's you have got to check her out, here is her tutorial link HERE.  She is awesome!!
Thanks Annika for your awesome tutorial.
Anyway I am off to bed as I have to get up even earlier tomorrow to get the kids ready for school. I hope you had a get weekend and thanks for stopping by and looking.

I will post the cards I make with these images when I get them done. Just wanted to share them with you now.

Show Samples

Hi everyone.  So sorry for being so quiet here lately, but I have been busy with work and getting all the things the kids need for school as they start Aug. 1.  I think I have about everything they need but a couple of things and I will have to get those this weekend.

For my first card I used Fairy at Sunset by Jasmine Beckett-Griffith and decided to go with a Fall look with all the warm colors. And you can get all 3 of these images I used at Crafts and Me Stamps.

For my second card I used Hannah Lynn's "Butterfly Keeper".  This was one of my first Hannah Lynn stamps and I love her. She is what made me fall in love with Hannah's artwork. I added some glossy accents to her eyes and globe.

I keep all these card pretty simple and mostly flat as they are all 3 going to the craft show with Teresa and need to be 5.25 x 5.25 and minimal embellishments, at least ones with not a lot of left as they will all be going into an album/book. You can see a lot more creations by all of our talented DT HERE.
Well I hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.
Hugs:)

Are you ready for Christmas

Well today I have 2 cards to share with you and they are all about Christmas.  I don't know about you but this year has flown by as it feels like the kids just got out of school and now they are going back on Aug 1.  I  spent this weekend clothes and school supply shopping and the money adds up when you are buying for 3 kids. I hate school shopping as it is always packed and it's hard to find shirts with collars that they all 3 will wear. So I haven't had any crafting time this weekend or blog visiting time.
Okay on to my cards.  Both cards are by Katerina Koukiotis and are from Sheet #3, Plate #159, which can be purchased at "Sweet Pea Stamps".  This first one I used the image
 Follow me".

I used some Basic Grey "Jovial" DP, Spellbinders Pendant Die(cut in half and added to each side of my colored image), Recollections Flourish bling and shelf adhesive pearls. The image was stamped  on Mohawk 100lb color copy Brilliant white CS with Memento ink and colored with copics.

This 2nd image Katerina Koukiotis's "Home for the Holidays".

I used this colors to color my image.
Skin: E11,E01,E00,E000 and E0000
Hair: E49,E47,E57,E51 and E50
Reds: R35,R37,R39,R89,RV99 and W9
Tree: E33,E35,E57,E47 and E49
Chalk on her cheeks
Clear Sakura Glitter Gel Pen

Well that is it for me today as I have a ton to finish today and hope to get some down time so I can go visit all my blogging friends.  Have a wonderful week.

We are having a Blog Hop with Sweet Pea Stamps July 29 and we will be featuring our artist " Rebecca Sinz", plus I will try to have some blog candy to give away with the hop so stay tuned.

Just to let all my blogging friends know, I went yesterday with my oldest daughter Destiny to have her Senior Pic's done and OMGOSH, it took 4 hrs.  It was funny because all her teachers, friends and the Photography people thought I was her older sister.  That made me feel good since I will be 37 next month.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great rest of the week and also that you can find some extra time to play along with us.

Forever Night's 1st Official Mini Dark Art Monday Challenge!!

Hi everyone.  Well today is our very first challenge over at "Forever Night Challenges".  Forever Night is a challenge blog for all things, Dark, Emo, Steampunk, Scary, and totally different.  So if you have a dark side this is a Challenge Blog for you.

Skull-tastick Challenge #1
~ Create a mini art project with skulls in mind~
You can make any of the following or something never thought of.

  • Tag
  • atc card
  • moo card
  • inchies, twinchies, thrinchies, etc
  • mini card
  • bottle caps
  • paper clips
I am sure you get the idea!

I decided to make a tag to use on a gift bag for one of my friends.  The good thing about this tag or any tag is that they can be used as a bookmark also.  And guess what my friend loves to read, so this will be perfect for her.

The image is by artist Terra Bidlespacher  and is called "Tad Batty" and you can get her at Sweet Pea Stamps on sheet #5 Plate #155, or by herself.
I used some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and sprayed the whole tag.  I also used a Spellbinders Pendant die and cut it in half and attached it to the bottom and top of the tag.

I used a wallpaper corner skull art that I found on the internet and printed it and added it to the left side of the tag.  The image was colored with copics.  The sentiment was computer generated.  I added some epoxy skull stickers and dots and also some black tulle and fringe.

So now go and check out the new Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT created and become a follower, as this is a new Challenge blog and we need people to play along with us.
Thanks for stopping by and seeing my very first Forever Night's Challenge.

That HUGE Bear

I just wanted to pop in and say Hi and do a quick post.  This is one of the layouts I did weeks ago of my youngest daughter Jazmine.  I really wish she would trash that HUGE bear as she wants to take it everywhere.

I hope to make my rounds tonight, if I can ever get all my stuff finished so I can sit down and go blog surfing, as all of you are an inspiration to me.

Well I am off and hope to stop by soon.  I hope you have a great weekend or whats left of it anyway.
