Darya

Today I have another Sweet Pea card to share with you.  I used one of Elaine Cox's newest protrait images called Darya.  You can find her on  sheet #18, Plate #133.

For a girl who use to hate the color orange, I use it all the time.  Every since I started using my orange copics I have really feel in love with the color orange.

After all the terrible storms we have on Wednesday it was so pretty outside today. I took these this morning out on my deck.  Look how green my grass is from all the rain we have been having.  The yard was still wet yesterday afternoon, but that didn't stop my husband from mowing it.
We were lucky here that we didn't get any of the terrible tornados that came through in 6 states.  We did have on touch down only about 5 mins from my house.  So I have been praying for all the people who have lost their loved ones, and the ones that have lost everything.  My heart aches for them and it has been heartbreaking watching the news of all the destruction.

Okay back to my card..
Here are the supplies I used.
Paper: DCWV Fall Stack
Mohawk Brillant whie 100lb cover color copy CS
Ink: Memento Tuxedo ink
Accessories: Recollections Big and small orange flowers
The fall leaves are also from Recollections at Michaels

This beautiful! I just Darya in the mail and started coloring her, it's fun to see her in another color. Orange has been one of the harder colors to use for me as well, you worked it beautifully. I am so glad to hear that you are safe, I immediately thought of you when I heard the news. My thoughts and prayers go out as well.

So glad you and your family are safe. It's really heartbreaking to watch the news, especially after the devastation in Japan. I am praying for everyone everywhere.
On a happy note, I think your use of any color is fabulous. This orange card is another stunner. Wonderful job and terrifik accents. :)
