Sweet Pea / Flowing In Blue

Well, not really that she's flowing in blue more like aqua. I notice I use this color alot!! So I guess my oldest DD is rubbing off on me as her favorite colors are Tealish Aqua and black. I love balck but I am more of a brown person (brown and green, my favorite colors). I have also noticed that I am starting to like any color when paired with brown!!
I think she looks so shy! So I wanted her to also look as if she was trying to hide from the bright sun so I used creamy yellows for the back ground. I colored this image over the weekend while I stayed in front of the TV watching all the Flooding news around me. I have worked a little each night on this and finally finished it up last night. And I colored this image before I decided what paper I was using and as soon as I started looking through my HUGE and I mine HUGH tote/basket of scraps saw this piece from a card I created last month for InStyle stamps. Luckily it was the right colors!! I really need to start picking out my DP first, before I color.

This is another of the new ching chou kuiks images only at Sweet Pea Stamps (plate #47). And I think she is just gorgeous!!! I just love that she is hiding one of her eyes, oh and those branches as fingers( her name is "Flowing In Blue")
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like my creation. Have a great rest of the day my friends.

Hi Angela
the colours here are lovely. I guess the only good thing about the floods is that you get to stay in and craft!!!! Hope there hasn't been too much damage. We had some severe flooding in England over the past 2-3 years and some of the people affected still aren't in their homes!
Looking forward to your next project

I adore the colors you used brown is not a color I use often but maybe I should give it a try. I do the same thing that you do. I just color and then pick a DP to match what I color. I keep telling myself to do it the other way around but then the color from my mind to the paper will not flow the same so I keep the same old way going.
