Easel Card

I can't believe I made a card tonight! Well, I already had him colored and all i had to do was make a card with this cute little boy playing with his train set he got from Santa. This is a digital image from Charmed Card and Crafts. Isn't he just the cutest. I wanted him to have red hair and green eyes and I wanted to try to make a easel card. I have been seeing so many of these cards on other blogs.
This card is going to work with me tomorrow. I was asked to make a card for a woman I work with who is having it hard this year with not being able top buy her children gifts for Christmas. SO this card will go to her after all of her Co-workers sign it. We each are going to add some money in this card to try to help her out some. My church took her and her family a big food basket yesterday(my Mom and I delivered it to her). And we have put all 5 of her children and grandson on our Angel tree at church. I just love being able to give a little especially this time of year when money is a little short.
I love the way this turned out. I used some old DCWV Christmas paper and some CS that I aged with Tim Holts distress ink by Ranger. I even pulled out my sewing machine for this one. I love to sew on my cards but my kitchen is my craft area and there is no way to keep it out at all times. I think if I had a craft room I would be able to get so much more done. I guess my Husband really loves me to put up with all my messes when I'm crafting. And a lot of the time I am in the middle of a creation and I just leave all my stuff out everywhere until I am finished. Which could be for days.. But he never says anything. He knows I have no other place to go.
And almost everytime I make anything I get out a whole lot more than I will ever use. Just trying to find the perfect touch.
I matted the sheet music paper on black CS and pop dotted it I also added pop dots to raise the image off the card to give it more detail. I also added pop dots to the paper on the inside to be able to hold my card up for to be an easel.

I aaded some cream CS to the inside(back side) of the main front of the card
to give more room for people to sign. I also made a blank notecard to go with it just incase we still needed more room to sign it. and it can just be put inside the card. Since this is a 6X6 card I don't have any envelopes that this will fit into. So imade one to fit it. I just hope she love this as much as I do and I hope she knows how much we care for her and her family. Well I am up again way too late. I am not going to list the copics colors I used but if anyone wants to know just say so in your comment and I will post it. Thanks for stopping by!!!
